No country for old men- analysis of thrillers
No country for old men along is also a thriller i looked at for inspiration for my final piece.
This film gave me alot of inspiration about voilents not having to always be on show, and the typical stereo type killer, not a normal human being, scary, obvious was not the case, as the killer was calm and looked like an average guy. This also makes it scarier as you can relate it more to every day life.
In the clip above the shots are very simple but are also very effective. They use two shots and over the shoulder shots at a medium angle, this allows you to sympathize with the man as if you can almost guess what is going to happen and that his fate only rests on calling heads or tails.
'No Country for Old Men' is quite similar to 'Psycho' as the murders and voilents is covered up.
